Hullo people with the magic hands. This is a project I made for my partner for Valentine's Day last year (2025), because Tangled is one of their favourite (if not *the* favourite) animated movie. Was and still is the most in-depth project I have been able to do, and I love it.
The stem of the flower was formulated around a straw where I passed the wires, and it's raised on a gold leaf sun. Switch-powered and the lid is removable (similarly to how they protect it and uncover it in the movie, if you've seen it).

Base: Wood (no idea what kind it was, unfortunately)
Paints: Acrylic
Flower itself: Crepe Paper, double layered, shaped with metal wire
Stem and leaves: Regular old coloured paper, semi glossy finish
Base: Design was originally made in illustrator then printed out as a sticker
Lid: Yoinked from a display plate/bowl/thing, repurposed for pizzazz
Misc.: Gold leaf, foam for base and friction, LED lights originally as a series of lights with coloured plastic covers similar to Christmas lights, chopped up and re-welded and connected (thanks to my dad, who is an electrical wizard), and golden/metallic twisting metal wrappers (the type of thing often used as ties for bags of bread).

Thank you my friend. I was sort of chained by the constraints of the stuff I could find, like the glass lid for example (despite searching for many months), so the flower did end up having to be quite.... stout and on the wider side, but it is what it is
