I’ve been working on the Bandai Y Wing 005 (1/144) for a little while, really taking my time with it. Unfortunately I sprayed too much primer in a couple of places, so there’s a fair amount of texture I wasn’t planning on. I’ve decided since this is a very cheap model to use it as an experiment for painting techniques.
For the front section and the front of the engines I’m trying out painting the shading to emphasise the shapes of the pieces. They are still in progress.
There centre section was looking flat with just a base colour and washes, so I went in and painted the individual details in a few different colours. Loving how this bit turned out. The next step for this section will be weathering.
